Nicole Wells

Let me tell you a little bit more about me and what I do.  I have a BA in Art and Spanish Education as well as 35+ post graduate credits in communicative disorders.  I love the arts, history and languages.  One of my strengths is integrating history, science, art, language, and social studies into my art curriculum. I have been the art specialist at a local elementary and have also taught secondary art in the past. I currently teach home school and after school art classes out of my home.  I love teaching art to all ages and am blessed to have students that range in ages from 4 years old to 50 years old.

I truly feel that art is a critical part of every child's education; children who participate in the arts have greater empathy, more social awareness, better team work skills, refined fine motor control, greater problem solving ..... the list goes on!  I truly feel blessed I get to teach art everyday!

Testimonial

“I sent my two daughters to Nicole's summer art camp this past summer and they had a blast!  They not only came home with creative art masterpieces but they learned about past artist and how art is found everwhere around us."

Art Classes & Camps

Home School and After School Art Classes

Again this school year, I am offering home school and after school art classes!  Students will be studying the elements and principles of design, learning about artists and cultures throughout history while experimenting with a variety of art media, including clay, watercolor, sum-e ink, pastels, print making...and more!

Summer Art Camps

The past seven summers I have offered week long art camps to students of varying ages.  Similar to my art classes, the students learn about the elements and principles of design, artists and cultures throughout history while experimenting with a variety of art media.  I am anticipating teaching camps again in the summer of 2023.  Please look for details as the summer approaches!!
